Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for Purchases

15.24% or 18.24% when you open your account, based on your credit worthiness.

APR for Balance Transfers

0% introductory APR for the first six billing cycles after account opening.

After that, your APR will be 15.24% or 18.24% based on your credit worthiness. This APR will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate.

This APR will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate.

Penalty APR and When it Applies

Up to 30.24%, based on your creditworthiness.

This APR may be applied to your account if you:

  1. Make a late payment;
  2. Go over your credit limit;
  3. Make a payment that is returned; or
  4. Do any of the above on another account you have with us.

This APR will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate.

How Long Will the Penalty APR Apply? If your APRs are increased for any of these reasons, the Penalty APR will no longer apply to existing balances if you make the next 6 consecutive payments when due. The Penalty APR will apply to other balances indefinitely.

How to Avoid Paying Interest on Purchases

Your due date is at least 23 days after the close of each billing cycle. We will not charge you interest on purchases if you pay your entire balance by the due date each month.

Minimum Interest Charge

If you are charged interest, the charge will be no less than $2.00 ($0.50 for residents of Iowa at time of account opening).

How We Will Calculate Your Balance: We use a method called “daily balance (including new purchases)”. If you are a resident of Iowa at the time the account is opened, we use a method called “average daily balance (including new purchases)”. 

Loss of Introductory APR: We may end your Introductory APR and apply the Penalty APR if you make a late payment.

About Us and This Credit Card Program: This credit card program is issued and administered by Barclays Bank Delaware, located in Wilmington, Delaware. Any credit card account opened in response to this application shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Changes to Account and Benefits Terms: We reserve the right to change the APR and other account terms in accordance with the Cardmember Agreement, Delaware law and the Federal Truth in Lending Act. We also reserve the right to change the benefits and features associated with the card or the account.

About Your Credit Report and Your Credit Performance: You agree that Barclays has the right to obtain a current credit report in connection with our review of your application and, subsequently, in connection with a requested charge to any account with us, the renewal of your account, or a change in your credit line; and that we have the right to report to others our credit experience with you. Upon your request, we will tell you the name and address of each consumer reporting agency from which we obtained a consumer report about you. After your account is opened, we will periodically review your credit performance. If you do not maintain your credit performance, we may change your account terms.

How the Variable APRs on Your Account will be Determined: The APRs on your account will be determined each billing cycle by adding a margin to the Prime Rate (which will be the highest rate published in the Money Rates column of The Wall Street Journal on the last business day of each month). See your Cardmember Agreement for more detail. The APRs noted above are current as of 06/24/2010 using a Prime Rate of 3.25%.

Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account: To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means to you: When you apply for an account, we will ask for your name, street address, date of birth, social security number, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see copies of identifying documents.

Notice to Married Wisconsin Residents: No provision of any marital property agreement, unilateral statement under Section 766.59 of the Wisconsin statutes, or court order under Section 766.70 adversely affects the interest of the creditor, Barclays Bank Delaware, unless the Bank, prior to the time the credit is granted or an open-end credit plan is entered into, is furnished a copy of the Agreement, Statement or Decree, or has actual knowledge of the adverse provision. Balance Transfers. Here's How it Works:
To request a balance transfer please enter the 15 or 16 digit account number from the MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover Card account that you want us to process a balance transfer to. Upon approval of your application we will provide you with your Cardmember Agreement and to the extent permitted by your credit line we will process the requested balance transfer payment to the credit card account(s) which you have requested. If the total amount you request exceeds the assigned credit line on this account, we may either decline the request or send a partial payment to your creditor(s) in the order you provided them to us. The amount of available credit on this account will be reduced by the amount of the balance transfer and the related balance transfer fees. We reserve the right to decline to process any requested balance transfer. We will not process a request to transfer a balance from any other account you may have with us. Balance transfers incur interest from the transaction date and they do not have the same charge back rights as transactions conducted with a credit card.

A balance transfer may take up to 4 weeks to post to your other credit card accounts. Continue to pay each creditor until the balance transfer appears on the other account as a credit. If you would like to complete a balance transfer from another account that is not a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card, please call the phone number on the back of your new credit card once you are approved.

Barclays' Privacy Policy is available online at www.BarclaycardUS.com. I agree that Barclays Bank Delaware and AirTran Airways may share information about me and my account to the extent needed to administer the AirTran Airways A+ Visa in conjunction with the AirTran Airways A+ Rewards Program.

AIRTRAN AIRWAYS A+ REWARDS PROGRAM:

(a) If we received the Primary Cardmember's AirTran Airways A+ Rewards Program (the "Program") membership number with your application we will advise AirTran that you have opened an Account. If you answered no or did not give us the membership number, we will ask AirTran Airways to enroll the Primary Cardmember in the Program and issue a membership number. Only one Program membership will be linked to your Account. If the Account is a joint account, we will enroll the Primary Cardmember. The Primary Cardmember can be eligible to receive and redeem "credits" subject to the terms and conditions of the AirTran Airways A+ Rewards Terms and Conditions, as established, modified, supplemented and/or amended by AirTran Airways from time to time (the "Program Terms and Conditions").

(b) On the closing date of each billing cycle that your Account remains open and current, we will report to AirTran Airways the number of "credits" earned on your Account during a billing cycle and request that AirTran Airways award points/"credits" as set forth in paragraph (e). If your Account is not open and/or current on the date a billing cycle closes, we will report no Net Purchases to AirTran Airways for that billing cycle. We will ask that "credits" be awarded to the Primary Cardmember, regardless of who made the "purchase." Net Purchases for a billing cycle are determined by totaling all new Purchases added to the Account during the billing cycle, then subtracting credits posted to the Account during the period for returned Purchases and/or adjustments. For purposes of reporting Net Purchases, we may round up or down to whole dollar amounts. If credits for returned Purchases exceed new Purchases during a billing cycle, we will report negative Net Purchases and, if applicable, ask AirTran Airways to reduce the Primary Cardmember's accrued "credits" accordingly.

Net Purchases does not include fees, charges, credit insurance premiums, or transactions posting as Cash Advances or non-qualifying Balance Transfers, whether received from financial institutions, automated teller machines, by use of Barclays Checks, or by any other means. We reserve the right to exclude from Net Purchases unauthorized Purchases, Purchases which are added to your Account after you are past due or overlimit.

We may ask AirTran Airways to withdraw points/"credits" previously awarded if your Account is more than sixty (60) days past due, or if the points credit was awarded on Purchases not authorized by you. We are not responsible to award points/"credits" under the Program, to arrange or provide for any services related to travel or the use of points credit, for any delay, failure, or refusal by AirTran Airways to award or redeem "credits", or for any decision by AirTran Airways to revoke or cancel points or membership in the Program.

(c) AirTran Airways is not a party to the agreement between you and us, does not participate in any extension of credit or decision to extend credit under these regulations, and has no authority regarding the Account. Barclays is the sole creditor and owner of the Account. You authorize us to share information about your account with AirTran Airways to the extent needed to enroll you in and/or administer the program. You agree that we may share Account information as set forth in Barclays' Privacy Policy.

(d) Your monthly Account statement will include the Primary Cardmember's accrued points accrued for that month as reflected in our records. You understand that there will be a delay between the date you make a Purchase, the date we report Net Purchases to AirTran Airways, and the date that AirTran Airways acts upon the information, and that, for this and other reasons, our records and the records of AirTran Airways regarding the Primary Cardmember's accrued points may differ. You understand and agree that points/"credits" are not received by the Primary Cardmember until awarded by AirTran Airways, and that, in the event of any discrepancy between our records and AirTran Airways' records of the Primary Cardmember's accrued points/"credits", the records of AirTran Airways will control.

(e) Points Accrual

Barclays will request that AirTran Airways award to the Primary Applicant one credit for each 1,000 points accumulated on the account, provided the account is open and current on the statement closing date for the statement in which the credit is earned.

AirTran Airways A+ Visa Signature card with $49 annual fee Cardmembers will earn two (2) points for every one dollar ($1.00) spent on AirTran Airways travel and one (1) point is awarded for every one dollar ($1.00) of net purchases everywhere else.

AirTran Airways A+ Visa Signature card with No annual fee Cardmembers will earn one (1) point for every one dollar ($1.00) spent on AirTran Airways travel and one (1) point is awarded for every two dollars ($2.00) of net purchases everywhere else.

If you do not qualify for a Visa Signature Card, you may receive a Visa Platinum card with no annual fee.

AirTran Airways A+ Visa Platinum card with No annual fee Cardmembers will earn one (1) point for every one dollar ($1.00) spent on AirTran Airways travel and one (1) point is awarded for every two dollars ($2.00) of net purchases everywhere else.

Balance Transfer Bonus Points:

AirTran Airways A+ Visa Signature card with $49 annual fee Cardmembers will earn one (1) point per one dollar ($1.00) in balances transferred to your AirTran Airways A+ Visa requested in the first 30 days after you open your account, up to a maximum of 10,000 points. Convenience Checks do not qualify for Bonus Points.

AirTran Airways A+ Visa Signature card with No annual fee Cardmembers will earn one (1) point per one dollar ($1.00) in balances transferred to your AirTran Airways A+ Visa requested in the first 30 days after you open your account, up to a maximum of 10,000 points. Convenience Checks do not qualify for Bonus Points.

AirTran Airways A+ Visa Platinum card with No annual fee Cardmembers will earn one (1) point per one dollar ($1.00) in balances transferred to your AirTran Airways A+ Visa requested in the first 30 days after you open your account, up to a maximum of 10,000 points. Convenience Checks do not qualify for Bonus Points.

Bonus Credits:

AirTran Airways A+ Visa Signature card with $49 annual fee:   Five (5) bonus credits will be awarded when you use your Account during the first 90 days for purchases that total $250 or greater that are not later returned, disputed, or rescinded.  An additional five (5) bonus credits will be awarded when you use your Account during the first 90 days for purchases that total $750 or greater that are not later returned, disputed, or rescinded. Bonus miles will be awarded at the close of the Cardmember's billing statement after the qualifying purchase(s) have posted.

AirTran Airways A+ Visa Signature card with No annual fee Cardmembers:  Two (2) bonus credits will be awarded when you use your Account during the first 90 days for purchases that total $250 or greater that are not later returned, disputed, or rescinded.  Bonus miles will be awarded at the close of the Cardmember's billing statement after the qualifying purchase(s) have posted.

AirTran Airways A+ Visa Platinum card with No annual fee Cardmembers:  Two (2) bonus credits will be awarded when you use your Account during the first 90 days for purchases that total $250 or greater that are not later returned, disputed, or rescinded.  Bonus miles will be awarded at the close of the Cardmember's billing statement after the qualifying purchase(s) have posted.

All points and credit awards are subject to further terms and conditions described in the AirTran Airways account regulations. Note that A+ Rewards credits expire two years after the date posted as shown in your online A+ Rewards account. AirTran Airways A+ Visa points and credit awards are subject to the terms and conditions of the AirTran Airways A+ Rewards Program. Terms and Conditions of this program, including conditions of participation and point levels required for awards, may be changed, added or deleted at any time, in whole or in part, in accordance with the AirTran Airways A+ Rewards Program rules, and without notice to AirTran Airways A+ Visa cardmembers. This means that AirTran Airways may change or terminate program partners; withdraw, limit, modify, or cancel any credit or travel award; increase the credits required for any award; or limit the number of seats available to any or all destinations without notice to you.

Anniversary Discount Certificates: 

AirTran Airways A+ Visa Card with Annual Fee Cardmembers will receive two (2) fifty dollar ($50.00) AirTran Airways Discount Certificates that will be sent to the e-mail address on file with A+ Rewards every year after the first that a cardmember has paid the Annual Fee for the coming year. The Discount Certificates are valid for round-trip AirTran Airways travel anywhere AirTran flies. These special discounts must be booked by the specific date printed on the certificate for travel good for one year from the date sent. Discount must be redeemed at the original time of purchase. Limit one (1) discount per person. Fares, routes, and schedules are subject to change without notice. AirTran Airways is solely responsible for the delivery of Anniversary Discount Certificates each year. Anniversary Discount Certificates will be sent only via e-mail. To ensure receipt, keep your e-mail address updated in your A+ Rewards account and opt in to A+ Rewards e-mails. Additional restrictions apply, see discount certificate for full details.
